What to Expect on Your First Visit
Our main goal is to help you or your child achieve the most beautiful, straight, and healthy smile as possible. The complimentary initial exam includes
- a tour of our state of the art office
- Review of your dental and medical history
- Panoramic x-ray and photos of your smile and teeth
- Dr. Cunningham will perform a complete exam to determine when and if treatment is necessary
- A video about orthodontics and answering any questions or concerns you might have
- As a courtesy to you, we will review your orthodontic insurance and discuss our flexible financial options
- Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, or water is available at all appointments
What Happens at the next Visit?
The next visit is to take a full set of diagnostic records which includes an additional X-ray, a full set of photographs, and impressions of the upper and lower teeth for study models. Dr. Cunningham will review all of these diagnostic records before finalizing the treatment plan and may schedule a follow up consult to discuss the findings. The braces can be placed at the following appointment. Once the braces are placed, regular appointments are typically scheduled every 4-8 weeks.
